Joshua 1:9 Skit: In Korean with English Subtitles

Thanks to some assistance from a teacher in Shanghai with Korean students, I obtained a translation of last week’s video recorded in Korean and made a version with English subtitles.

This experience is a reminder to me that I’m an ESL Sunday School teacher this year, and I need to keep in mind the importance of utilizing teaching strategies which can be effective for students whose first language is NOT English!

Joshua 1:9: Be Bold and Courageous – Do NOT be Afraid

This past Sunday we created short finger puppet skits in our 5th grade Sunday school class based on Joshua 1:9:

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

This was our theme verse for SuperStart in Dallas in January, and also for our Wednesday night lesson at church this past week.

I am working on getting a translation into English of this final video, which was created by Chan Hee and Sung Pil. They were having some trouble translating Korean, so I encouraged them to go ahead and record it in Korean. If you can help with the translation, please let me know!

Highlights from SuperStart Live in Dallas (January 2011)

This 3 minute video was created by Sarah and Ali following their great experiences at SuperStart in Dallas this past January.

This longer nine minute video includes some introductory comments by our 5th grade co-teacher, Wesley, and some video clips from the actual event.
